Maplehurst Message for November 9, 2018

School Council Support

Thank you to everyone for their participation in our fundraising ventures throughout the year. Money that is raised directly supports the students at Maplehurst and their learning environment. School Council seeks to balance their spending on projects and activities that benefit as many students at Maplehurst as possible. This year, Council will be allocating your fundraising money towards the following:

Outdoor Classroom, Technology (including Chromebooks and computers), Field Trip/Performance subsidies for all students, Clubs and Teams (e.g., skipping ropes, jerseys, tournament fees), SK and Gr.6 “Grad”, Classroom purchases, Healthy Snack Program, and Events such as Play Day and Pancake Day.

Our students thank you!!!

Book Fair is Coming!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. We invite your family to visit our Book Fair to browse and purchase books for your child. If you are unable to attend, our classroom teachers will be providing opportunities for students to visit the Book Fair throughout the day. This fundraising event supports our Maplehurst library and allows us to purchase even more great books for our students to enjoy!

Book Fair dates: November 30th, December 2-4th.

Specific Times will be determined closer to the date.

We look forward to seeing you and your family at our Book Fair!

**Please note that the Book Fair is a completely optional opportunity for all students and there is no expectation that students or families purchase items during the Book Fair.**
