Maplehurst Message for September 21, 2018

Good afternoon, Maplehurst families.

EQAO Results

I am pleased to share with you Maplehurst’s EQAO results from the spring assessment. All of our scores exceeded both the Board and Provincial averages. EQAO is one measure that we use as a staff to set goals and strategies for improving student achievement over the coming school year, along with survey data, report card achievement and other measures.

The current percentage of Maplehurst students who have met or exceeded the Level 3 standard are:

Grade 3 Reading 90% (+18% from 2017)

Grade 3 Writing 85% (+19%)

Grade 3 Math 77% (+11%)

Grade 6 Reading 91% (+1%)

Grade 6 Writing 95% (+5%)

Grade 6 Math 71% (-7%)

Thank you to all of our students, staff and families for their continued focus on helping Maplehurst students be successful and kind learners!
